Igus camera slider DIY project from vered koshlano on Vimeo.
As I said in the video, you get what you pay for and I'm pretty happy with it :)
Here are two of my favorite alternatives, they work great but will set you back a nice chunk of $$$...
This is the one I like...
kessler CineSlider
A smaller version:
kessler Pocket Dolly
Another great product:
Cinevate Atlas
I will post footage using it as soon as I get back from vacation (mid Jan).
Be safe and warm, have a wonderful holiday season and a great beginning to the new year!

Hey Vered FUELEDmag Moses here ^__^ ..Awesome!! can this be picked up at B&H? or adorama? if so I would like to pick this up I do automotive features as well as so up coming projects involving indoor controlled situations and this would be awesome to use but im wondering how light is it and how fast can it be put together. my question being for example if im in an undirected situation where I need to hump this thing around would what is my down time in setting it up from scratch? also when you do record the sample video please make sure you record both away and close to the camera so we can hear the difference in the noise issue it makes... you rock Vered
ReplyDeleteunfortunately you can not pick it up at a camera store (as far as I know) you can get it on Amazon from the company store (Igus) or call them directly (on their website, see link in post) & order it directly from them, make sure to request for the carriage to be tapped & threaded.
ReplyDeleteIf you are not in a rush, you can see mine when I get back :)
Sounds like a plan let me know :)
ReplyDeleteGreat stuff! Can't wait to see footage of "the slide". Enjoy your well deserved vacation.
ReplyDeleteI can't wait to come back & do it, lol! I'm not sold on "vacation time" feels like there is so much stuff I rather be doing but I love being with my parents... :)
ReplyDeleteHello.
ReplyDeleteI did not know the technical system.
I think it is very useful in photo studio.
It can be very useful both in studio & on location, I'll post actual footage of how it works soon :)
